Ackery’s Alley

A Glittering Transformation

How do you take an unused, unattractive space and make it into a hip, vibrant community asset? Design a wall system in which each panel has its own light, thanks to six different panel profiles and a lighting feature that interacts with people as they move through the alleyway.

We bent then anodized the wall panels, giving them a unique finish with a gold sheen not achievable any other way. The project managed to be highly customized without the large price tag, which was necessary as it was community driven and partially community funded. It’s a good reminder that even small projects can shine with the right team.
